Every two years, the Great Salt Lake Issues Forum is held by Friends of Great Salt Lake to help educate the public about the issue and publicize current efforts being made to help the lake. The Great Salt Lake Watershed Enhancement Trust
Great Salt Lake Watershed Enhancement Trust - Great Salt Lake Audubon and The Nature Conservancy Utah Chapter
In response to the lake’s drop to a historic low of 4,188.5 feet in 2022, the state legislature created the Great Salt Lake Watershed Enhancement Trust (GSLWET) with a $40 million budget for restoring the lake. This trust is managed by Audubon and The Nature Conservancy, two partnering non-profit organizations, that work together to acquire water for Great Salt Lake and its surrounding wetlands.
